PROJECT COORDINATOR (CONSULTANT)

ASIAN DISASTER READINESS FUND (ADRF) DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

The ADRF Development Consultant will be responsible for strategizing, developing and building the fund to enhance funding for preparedness for emergency response by local actors of the APP countries. This is to be done based on the ADRF’s key principles of co-creation, co-governance, multi-stakeholder approach, innovation, inclusiveness, programming with impact and sustainability.

RISK ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST

Home-based, with occasional travels to pilot sites in Indonesia as well as to regional meetings in Thailand

The Risk Assessment Specialist will support the technical partner of ADPC in developing a methodology and an algorithm for developing detailed hazard susceptibility indexes, using high resolution satellite imageries and various accessible remote sensing data, as well as socio-economic indicators and risk indices. Coordinate activities and regularly liaise with key technical partners, representatives of the funding agency, and government counterparts in Indonesia.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT (LAO PDR)

This consultant position is open for Laos Nationals only and the Consultant will be based in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The Disaster Management Consultant will develop and finalize the required MOU/s for the implementation in Lao PDR under APP Phase 3. Coordinated between the stakeholders in LDPP for implementation of the priority interventions identified. Coordinated and regular updates to APP Secretariat in Bangkok, ADPC.

DROUGHT RISK MANAGEMENT EXPERT (CONSULTANT)

The Drought Risk Management Expert (Consultant) will support in reviewing and compiling the lessons learned from drought mitigation planning strategies from other regions (such as MRC Drought Strategy), designing the in-country consultations matrix (such as KII and/or FGD), conducting the in-country consultations to understand sectoral capacity needs and national priorities.

ADPC seeks qualified employee with capability in performing remote sensing data processing using machine learning for land cover, crop types mapping, and land cover change analysis assessment and biomass mapping in the Southeast Asia region.The Geospatial Data Scientist will be primarily responsible for remote sensing data analyst for development and upgrade of the Regional Land Cover Monitoring System (RLCMS) and its application for sustainable landscape management, REDD+ and food security support in the SEA region.
