Presentation on "Emergency Medicine: The Tsunami Experience", Bangkok, March 30, 2006

ADPC in partnership with Thai Red Cross Society, Thammasat University, and Nopparat Ratchathani Hospital organized a half-day event on "Emergency Medicine: The Tsunami Experience" on 30 March 2006. The event featured a presentation by Dr. Prasert Vasinanukorn, Consultant for Emergency Department at Songklanakarind Hospital , Thailand , on emergency medicine, disaster planning, and the pitfalls in the health response to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.

Public Health in Complex Emergencies Training Program (PHCE) Bangkok, May 8-20, 2006

The Public Health in Complex Emergencies training program (PHCE) is a two-week residential course that focuses on critical public health issues faced by NGO and health personnel working with displaced persons and refugee population in complex emergencies.
