Goals

Sustainable end-to-end institutional systems in Indonesia and the Philippines that demonstrate improvements in the performance of climate sensitive sectors, such as agriculture and water resources, at the community level with the capacity to achieve similar success nationally in other locations.

Objectives

1. Decision support tools and capacities developed and tested for selected locations, showing measurable improvements in performance of climate-sensitive sectors. Focus is on the participatory identification of climate-related problems and development of knowledge and tools in areas and sectors that are vulnerable to climate impacts and where there is interest in learning and demonstration.

2. Capacities, tools and information required to operationalize the demonstration project results at national scale identified and transferred. Focus is on identifying the elements of sustainable end-to-end climate information and applications systems and strengthening the capacities of the local and national institutions needed to generate and effectively apply climate information in Indonesia and the Philippines, based on the results of the demonstration projects.
