- Gujarat Earthquake: Facilitation between Gujarat Government and Joint Mission of Asian Development Bank/World Bank
- UNDP Sri Lanka (SRL/97/011): Support for Disaster Management in Sri Lanka
- UNDP Cambodia (CMB/96/008): Capacity Building for Disaster Management
- Training in Crisis Management in Hong Kong
- Agreement with the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to undertake disaster management activities.
- Advice to WMO regarding possible sub-regional mechanism for enhancing disaster management in Southern Africa
- An agreement with Swinburne University to develop new training and education products for the Asian Region in consultation with Training and Education Division
- An agreement with SOPAC to work together to enhance Disaster Management in the region.
- conducted a review of the Cyclone Preparedness Programme in Bangladesh;
- assisted the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in their Community Based Disaster Preparedness Program for Asia and the Pacific;
- assisted various disaster management organizations in their country based programs such as CARE Bangladesh, Badan Koordinasi Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BAKORNAS PB) in Indonesia, the Corporate Network for Disaster Response of the Philippines, the China Committee for IDNDR, and the Vietnam Committee for IDNDR, Civil Defense Training Center in Malaysia, the National Committee on Disaster Management in Cambodia under the UNDP Cambodia project, the National Disaster Management Center (NCDM) under the UNDP Sri Lanka project, Center for Research in Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) and European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO) in Belgium,USAID Sri Lanka, FAO-India; Aparajeyo-Bangladesh and Terre des Hommes, Italy, Bangladesh Public Administration and Training Center (BPATC) identified Consultants for the Asian Urban Disaster Mitigation Program.
