ADPC's China and North-East
Asia Program is under the Office of Executive
Director, which is supervised by the Deputy
Executive Director. It is responsible for
working with relevant agencies in China
and other North-East Asian countries to
develop collaborative projects on disaster
risk management.
Our approach, using active training, consultancy
and technical/management projects, forms
the basis for capacity building on disaster
risk management among collaborating agencies.
The ultimate goal is to further develop
institutional network to provide our services
in a variety of activities encompassing
the field of post-disaster assessment, civil
engineering and mitigation practice, and
the planning of immediate relief response
and subsequent rehabilitation activities.
Therefore, our Chinese and North-East Asian
partners will avail of the ADPC's services
in formulating disaster risk management
policy at various levels, building capacity
of the disaster management institutions,
and program design for comprehensive disaster
management.
