In the seventh issue of the CARE for South Asia quarterly newsletter, we deliberate with leaders to gather insights on how the most vulnerable can collaborate to build resilience and adapt to complex climate risks. This issue tells us how climate adaptation needs to take place on a greater scale, considering the devastating effects of climate change impact on many areas of life. Leaders and subject matter experts take us through their personal journeys and share their expert views on how to address the multifaceted challenges of climate impacts. This issue also features a special segment called 'Featured Innovations,' highlighting methods to reduce climate change impact across different sectors.
The “Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CARE) for South Asia” project is supporting the South Asia region in building resilience to climate change by improving the availability of regional data and knowledge, developing guidelines, tools, and capacities, as well as promoting climate-resilient decisions, policies and investments across key sectors. The five-year initiative is being jointly implemented by Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES), with support from the World Bank.
