ADPC's intergovernmental Charter has been ratified by the Royal Thai Government

Bangkok, Thailand – Following the deposit of the Instrument of Ratification by the Kingdom of Thailand, the Charter of Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) has entered into force enabling it to function as an Intergovernmental organization. The new set up is expected to open up more avenues for ADPC to take forward the agenda of disaster risk reduction, in the region, through networking, knowledge exchange and collaborations.

ADPC signs MoU with University Twente to cooperate on geospatial technology

Bangkok, Thailand – Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Twente’s faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) to cooperate in research and technical exchange on geospatial technology.

Enhancing leadership skills to build resilience to disaster risk

Bangkok, Thailand – Through participating in a five-day training course, 14 senior personnel have enhanced their leadership skills in reducing the risk of disaster. The training course on “Leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)” was held on 8 – 12 July, 2019 at ADPC’s headquarters in Bangkok.
