Improving crisis information management system of JCC, Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Dohuk, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – Through a series of capacity building training, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) is supporting JCC of KRI in strengthening its information management system to manage a crisis, mitigate natural hazards, respond to disasters and adapt to climate change. The latest is a 5-day advanced level course on “Information Management, Analysis and Reporting (IMAR)” was held on 20- 24 January in the Duhok province of KRI.

Over 200 students participate in ADPC's "Know Disaster, No Disaster" camp

Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand – Over 200 students from the Anglo-Singapore International School attended Asian Disaster Preparedness Center’s (ADPC) “Know Disaster, No Disaster” camp on 14 – 16 November, 2018, at the Nakhon Ratchasima campus. The students participated in 10 stations to learn emergency preparedness and disaster mitigation methods that can be incorporated into their daily lives.

ADPC conducts hospital risk assesment workshop in Bangladesh

A two-day workshop on Hospital Risk Assessment (HRA) brought together 17 medical practitioners and representatives in 250 Bed District Sadar Hospital, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, to familiarize participants with ways to use and operationalize the hospital risk assessment and safety index developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
