“INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM FOR DISASTER MANAGEMENT IN MYANMAR”

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES

Under the UNESCAP funded and ADPC facilitated “Regional Tsunami Trust Fund phase II program”, ADPC with the National Meteorology and Hydrology (NMH) of Myanmar has planned to implement various tools relating to enhancement of End-to- End Early Warning System for Disaster Preparedness in Myanmar.             

The Incident Command System (ICS) for Disaster Management training workshop has design to introduce ICS which is a single standardized emergency response management tool for disaster management to enhance Myanmar disaster response capacity.  The training workshop will also share and discuss the current gaps in the existing emergency response management and how to better enhance the system.
