The sixth International Course on Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM-6), 2-13 July 2001, Bangkok, Thailand.
The sixth International Course on Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM-6) is currently being held in Bangkok, Thailand. Twenty-six participants from 13 countries in South, East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific, including Switzerland and the US are attending the two-weeks course. The course aims to build participants' capacity in designing, piloting and conducting community-based disaster management course on their own and in implementing community-based disaster management programs and projects in disaster-prone rural and urban areas.
The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center conducts the CSDM course annually for organizations that are either supporting or implementing community-based disaster mitigation or disaster response programs in their respective countries.
