BANKS
Manager
Mr. Steve Banks
joined the ADPC team in 2003 and has provided ADPC with a wide
range of experience in training and evaluation programs for
disaster management, emergency operations and crisis and consequence
management.
Mr. Banks has worked both as a trainer and adviser to national government disaster
managers throughout the Pacific region and has provided technical
advice and assistance to Pacific region governments during
times of disaster. He has been instrumental in the establishment
of Emergency Operations Centers in a number of Pacific Island
Countries including Fiji, Papua New Guinea and the Kingdom
of Tonga. Mr. Banks has developed applicable training and evaluation
programs for Emergency Operations Centers for those countries.
In particular, Mr. Banks possesses broad experience across emergency service
and military organizations. He has a total of 30 years experience
as a communications and operations officer of the Australian
Defense Force (Army) and has been involved in numerous Humanitarian
Assistance and Disaster Relief operations in the Asia/Pacific
region including Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and East
Timor. He has commanded Australian Defense units both in Australia
and overseas. Mr. Banks has worked with a wide range of government
and NGOs that include; AusAID, UNOCHA, USAID, OFDA and IFRC |

FALAK NAWAZ
Training Manager
Falak
joined strategic Disaster Risk Management team (SDRM), ADPC as a
Training Coordinator since 1st November 2004. Prior to joining ADPC,
he was engaged as a Lecturer/Research Associate in National Centre
of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He has
master degree in Geography (Peshawar, Pakistan) and professional
master degree in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation with
specialization in natural hazard studies (ITC, The Netherlands).
Besides, he got a variety of training and attended conferences/seminars
related to disaster planning and management inside and outside Pakistan.
He has written research papers by focusing his research on flood
and landslide hazard management.

MU MU KYI(Heythee)
Training Coordinator
Heythee joined ADPC in May 2004 as training coordinator of the Strategic Disaster Risk Management Team (SDRM). Prior to joining ADPC, she worked as an outreach assistant at BBC World Service Trust in Chiang Mai, and as a project coordinator at the Capacity Building Initiative Project in Myanmar. She also has working experiences not only in the NGO sector but also other private and public sectors in the fields of administration and management. She holds a MBA from the Institute of Economics, Myanmar and a MBA in International Business from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. She received a certificate of Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) from the East-West Center, Hawaii in January 2005.

JIANG
LING LING
Program Manager(China & North-East Asia)
Ling Ling has a range of responsibilities to manage
and develop China programs and projects. She is responsible for
developing future co-operation programs in North - East Asian countries.
Furthermore, she is responsible for coordination of relevant affairs
of China and North - East Asia within ADPC.
Prior to joining ADPC, Ling Ling worked in the
government sector in China. She holds a Master of Business Administration
(MBA) degree in International Business from the Asian Institute
of Technology.

BENJAPORN
SUTTHIPRAPA
Administrative Associate
Benjaporn
joined ADPC in February 1994 as a Training Course Secretary. Presently,
she provides administrative and coordination support to the Training
and Education unit. She holds an Intensive Secretarial Certificate
from the St. Teresa International School of Business Management
in Bangkok, Thailand.
