Dr. LingLing has a range of responsibilities which include developing, managing and implementing programs and projects in disaster risk management with China. Furthermore, she is responsible for the coordination of relevant affairs between China and ADPC within ADPC.
Dr. LingLing believes multi-agency stakeholder ownership is essential for achieving disaster risk management effectiveness, and a combination of approaches to achieve this goal is crucial, including mainstreaming disaster risk reduction into the development cycle, community-based disaster risk management, capacity building in terms of institution and personnel, public awareness and advocacy campaign, participative consultation, applied research, and participatory monitoring and evaluation.
Prior to joining ADPC, Dr. LingLing worked in the government sector in China. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the University of Newcastle (UoN), Australia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.
