The DDPM, in collaboration with the AHA Center, hosted the One ASEAN One Response Roadshow on June 4, 2024, at the Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel. The event brought together over 150 participants, including representatives from national disaster management focal agencies, networks, international organizations, officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, the AHA Center, and DDPM personnel.

Participants attended presentations aimed at enhancing their understanding of regional disaster management and response operations and mechanisms. Key topics included the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER), the AADMER Work Programme, the roles of the ASEAN Secretary-General as ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance Coordinator (SG-AHAC), and the funding mechanisms for ASEAN response. Additionally, the event covered ASEAN Disaster Regional Mechanisms, including the Standard Operating Procedure for Regional Standby Arrangements and Coordination of Joint Disaster Relief and Emergency Response Operations (SASOP), the AHA Centre’s mandate, the ASEAN Joint Disaster Response Plan (AJDRP), the Disaster Emergency Logistics Systems for ASEAN (DELSA). The event also addressed collaboration with UN agencies through interoperability mechanisms during response efforts.

The Roadshow provided a platform to link the roles of Thailand's disaster management agencies with regional mechanisms in ASEAN. It also served as a forum for exchanging information and experiences in disaster preparedness, response, and regional coordination within ASEAN. The goal was to ensure effective disaster management and emergency response at the regional level and streamline cooperation and coordination among ASEAN member states with the United Nations and international organizations. These efforts contribute to the realization of the "One ASEAN, One Response" vision for disaster management and response.
