Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) features in multiple Bangladeshi newspapers for organizing a workshop on 'Identification of Climate Change Vulnerability and Criticality Indicators for Rural Road and Infrastructures’ in Dhaka.

This event was jointly organized with Climate Resilience Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) to bring together engineers and academic professionals to co-develop vulnerability and criticality indicators for LGED’s Road and road transport infrastructure.

Mr. A.K.M. Luthfur Rahman, Additional Chief Engineer & Director of CReLIC, chaired the workshop, where indicators were endorsed upon group discussion facilitated by Mr. Anish Joshi, GIS Expert, ADPC, and Ms. Sk. Naureen Laila, Resilient Transport Specialist, ADPC.

ADPC is working with LGED in Bangladesh to develop and strengthen evidence-based resilient policies, strategies and actions; investment plans that are informed by hazard, vulnerability, and risk assessments; and integrate and operationalize key plans and policies into climate-resilient strategic road/rural road development.

The workshop was organized as part of ADPC's CARE for South Asia project with support from the World Bank.
