Overview The Center acts as an information-clearing house for specialized information pertaining to disaster management policies and practices in Asia. ADPC maintains a specialized library on disaster management. The library database has over 7,000 entries, supplemented by a unique collection of gray and unpublished literature from ADPC's own programs and projects and from several years of regional and international networking. It also has over 500 videos besides other audio-visual materials. The Center also receives a number of special newsletters and periodicals from research centers all around the world. The Center publishes a quarterly newsletter, Asian Disaster Management News. This newsletter, designed to serve as a communication channel for the disaster risk management practitioners and development workers in the Asian and Pacific regions, is disseminated in print to more than 2,000 people worldwide. It can also be accessed through the Center's website. The Center sends out monthly updates to over 1500 subscribers and provides news on projects, workshops and training activities of ADPC. ADPC through its different projects and programs produces a number of publications, in order to document and share knowledge and experiences gained over the years.
