Thimphu, Bhutan – Thimphu, Bhutan – On July 29, 2024, the Ministry of Health, as the leading authority, hosted a pivotal technical consultation to review and adapt the Hospital Preparedness for Emergencies (HOPE) training curricula in Bhutan. This critical meeting, under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, brought together an array of partners from the Department of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Department of Local Governance and Disaster Management (DLGDM), and the Technical Curriculum Review Group (TCRG) of HOPE in Bhutan.
Dhaka, Bangladesh – The SOD 2019 (Standing Orders on Disaster) and NPDM 2021-2025 Progress Monitoring and Tracking System (ProMoTS) workshop was held in Dhaka on 13 November 2024 , aimed to enhance Bangladesh's disaster management capabilities by developing a robust monitoring and evaluation system for the SOD and NPDM (National Plan for Disaster Management).
Islamabad, Pakistan – Training on Community-Based Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation was held for development partners from Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan (AKAHP), Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), CESVI Foundation, Concern Worldwide, LASOONA Relief and Development Organization, National Integrated Development Association (NIDA), and Welthungerhilfe (WHH). The workshop took place from August 5-8, 2024, in Islamabad, Pakistan.
