On 25 May 2004 in Beijing , Executive Director of ADPC Dr.Suvit Yodmani received the certificate of the training channel in Thailand from the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of P.R.China (SAFEA). To ensure the quality of training, SAFEA certifies ADPC on the basis of its reputation and competence to receive training groups from China. SAFEA has so far 236 certified overseas training institutions in the world, and among them most are famous universities, corporations and professional training institutions. The certificate ADPC received from SAEFA is a legal document for Chinese officials to attend the training courses organized by ADPC. Based on the certificate, the Chinese participants will be able to receive 1/3 or 40% funding support from the China central government to attend an ADPC training course if they apply to SAFEA. Mr. Peng Hao, Division Director of the Department of International Training of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs requested ADPC to convey this news to Chinese partner organizations of ADPC, so that the partners will be able to send more trainees to ADPC’s courses. According to the information mentioned above, China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP) has requested ADPC to conduct a one-week course on disaster management at ADPC for officials from different government agencies this year. |
