Publication Overview/Description

The “Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CARE) for South Asia” project is supporting the region in building resilience to climate change by improving the availability of regional data and knowledge, developing guidelines, tools, and capacities, as well as promoting climate-resilient decisions, policies and investments across key sectors.

The third issue of the CARE for South Asia quarterly newsletter provides readers with a set of articles on climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices. Discover the major hazards threatening farming livelihoods in Bangladesh, explore the role that crop modeling plays in devising new and improved agricultural policies in Pakistan, and learn about CSA as a whole in the South Asian region through expert opinions the world over.

The third issue also includes feature articles and exclusive interviews from disaster and climate experts from India and Pakistan.

New features included on climate change jargon and a forum on climate-fiction movies and novels!

The five-year initiative is being jointly implemented by Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES), with support from the World Bank.
