Promotion of Area Business Continuity Management (Area BCM) and Formulation of Area Business Continuity Plan (Area BCP) for Thailand

Description
In collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) and Pathum Thani Province have decided to adopt AREA BCM and AREA BCP implement the pilot project in Bangkadi Industrial Park.
The objectives of the project are:
1. to encourage understanding of the concept of Area BCM/BCP
2. to build effective public-private partnerships and enhance collaborative effort for business continuity
3. to support NESDB in implementing the Area BCM/ BCP from technical aspects.
Key Activities
1. Conduct the Area BCM Cycle, comprising of 5 phases within the expected period of 9 months.
a. Understanding the Area,
b. Determining Area BCM Strategy,
c. Developing Area BCP,
d. Implementing and Reviewing, and
e. Improving Area BCM
2. Explain the concept of Area BCM/BCP to project members at the project site
3. Design/coordinate workshops/seminars with Thai project members
4. Facilitate discussions and elaboration of Area BCM/BCP at workshops for Area BCM/BCP for project members
5. Summarize comments gained from each phase and compile these into the completion report

-Completion report (in Thai and English) of the project
-Area Business Continuity Plan
-Practical planning guide on AREA BCM and AREA BCP and Translated Toolkit Package (in Thai)
-Best practices on promoting public and private partnership and area network for community disaster resilience
