ADPC marks IDDR with a booth exhibition to showcase its efforts to building resilience across Asia and the Pacific

Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) joined the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) of Thailand in a joint commemoration of International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR) and ASEAN Day for Disaster Management on 18 October. ADPC hosted a booth at the event to display publications showcasing its efforts to build resilience across Asia and the Pacific.

Dr. Peeranan Towashiraporn, Director to ADPC's Geospatial Information Department, attended the booth exhibition

The IDDR is marked on the 13th October to annually celebrate the collaborative effort of people and communities in reducing exposure to disasters. The day is marked to further spread awareness on the importance of taking early action and implementing disaster preparedness at all levels.

ADPC will continue to support disaster risk reduction and risk management solutions – paying particular attention to cross-cutting and strategic themes – to build a safer Asia and the Pacific.
