Institutional Exchange for Embedded Research Translation for Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM)

ADPC Retreat 2024: Strategic Planning and Navigating the Road Ahead

Bangkok, Thailand – In preparation for the new year and beyond, the ADPC team gathered for its Retreat 2024 between 25-26 January 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. It was a rare opportunity for all staff to gather, look upon the achievements of 2023, and gear up for the future year with the review of the 2024 Work Plan, Strategy 2030 and the key action areas.

ADPC Strengthening Collaboration with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand – In a significant move towards strengthening disaster resilience in Thailand, ADPC, along with its partner, the Thai Network for Disaster Resilience (TNDR), discussed with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) possible collaboration activities in 2024 to support the implementation of the Thailand National Disaster Risk Management Plan 2023-2027. This collaboration marks a critical step forward in the nation's efforts to enhance its preparedness, response, and recovery strategies in the face of increasing disaster risks.
