Creating a Culture of Preparedness: Inaugural First Responders Forum in the Maldives

Malé City, Maldives – The inaugural First Responders Forum took place from February 20th to 21st, 2024, in Mal� City, Maldives, under the theme 'Creating a Culture of Preparedness.' Organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Maldivian Red Crescent Society in collaboration with ADPC, the forum was part of the Strengthening Preparedness and Resilience through Inclusive Community Governance in the Maldives (SPRING) project, supported by USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).

Disaster Risk Management Leadership Workshop for Ministers and Senior Officials

Arba Minch, Ethiopia – From March 9-10, 2024, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) was honoured to facilitate a Disaster Risk Management Leadership workshop for 30 Senior Federal Government Officials, and Commissioners for Regional Disaster Risk Management and City Administration. Held at Haile Resort in Arba Minch, Ethiopia, the workshop was co-organized by the Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management Commission (EDRMC) in collaboration with the ADPC, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
