ADPC conducts two-week training on Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR)

Bangkok, Thailand – Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) welcomed 16 participants, from 9 countries, to the 26th Regional course on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR-26) on 20 – 31 August. The CBDRR course directs practitioners towards addressing local needs of communities vulnerable to disasters.

Kathmandu Statement calls for enhanced coherence between global frameworks at the 14th RCC meeting

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management (RCC) calls for practical coherence solutions and tools for reducing disasters in Asia and the Pacific during its 14th meeting that was held on 3-5 December in Kathmandu, Nepal. It also emphasized on enhancing coherence between key global frameworks for sustainable development and disaster resilience.

Enhancing drought resilience and crop yield security in Viet Nam

Viet Nam, Mekong Region – ADPC developed a geospatial tool, in collaboration with Viet Nam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARB), to enable agencies under MARB to prepare for and respond to droughts.
