Second ADPC Alumni Meeting to be held
on 1 April 2004  Dhaka, Bangladesh

Second Alumni meeting in Bangladesh will be held on 1 April 2004 at the Asia Pacific Blossom Hotel. There are about 400 ADPC Alumni in Bangladesh who have participated in various training courses organized by ADPC since 1986.  Prof. Krasae Chanawongse, Chair of ADPC Board of Trustees will inaugurate the meeting.

The Alumni Meeting provides ADPC an opportunity to get feedback from its alumni who are working with government agencies, non-government organizations and various donor agencies. The feedback helps ADPC to continuously improve its training courses to make them more relevant and useful to the participants.

In addition to the training courses, ADPC has organized a number of events in Bangladesh. Most recent events, in addition to the Alumni Meeting, are

•  Fourth Regional Consultative Committee (RCC) Meeting of ADPC hosted by the Ministry of Disaster Management & Relief of the Government of Bangladesh being held during 29-31 March 2004. For more information on RCC, please click here.

•  ADPC is also organizing the 9th Annual Working Group Meeting during 3-5 April 2004 of its Asian Urban Disaster Mitigation program in partnership with CARE-Bangladesh. More details about the WGM are available here.
